Since 2002, Karmit Bulman has served as a consultant, coach, mediator, group process facilitator, consultant and turnaround specialist for a variety of local, national and international organizations. Previously called "Leadership Transformation Group", Turnaround Solutions was renamed in 2015. Ms. Bulman provides affordable services in the areas of coaching, consultation, interim executive director services, mediation, process facilitation, fund development, strategic planning, conflict management and training.
Since 1993, Karmit Bulman has served as managing attorney and executive director for non-profits including: The Minnesota Legal Services Coalition, The Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women, Avenues for Homeless Youth, Temple Israel and the Conflict Resolution Center. Ms. Bulman is a former adjunct professor of Law at University of Minnesota School of Law and the University of Southern Maine. She is the author of The Conflict Consultant’s Handbook and other legal self-help booklets. Ms. Bulman has helped organizations move to the next level of growth for over 30 years. Her work has involved facilitation of collaborative processes, conflict assessment, coalition building, executive coaching and consulting, new business development, organizational turnaround, and revenue expansion. She has extensive experience in financial management, program development, public and community relations, fund raising and non-profit infrastructure building.
Ms. Bulman's career began as a legal services attorney in 1984, representing the needs of disenfranchised, disabled and impoverished adults and children. She concentrated on housing, employment and family issues. She was a litigator for ten years and then in 1993, she transitioned to serving as a non-profit executive director. Through this role, she acquired knowledge and experience in organizational development, human resources and labor laws and practices. In 2002 she added consulting services to the work she does for non-profit organizations. Ms. Bulman has a Bachelors’ Degree in Political Science and Legal Studies from Brandies University and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University.
Ms. Bulman is a pre-approved vendor qualified to perform services under the State of Minnesota's Mediation and Facilitation Master Contract Program.
